I mean it fits, since Alexander Graham Bell was the inventor of the telephone, and he’s also been attributed (at least by the The Way Things Work game that I used to play) as inventing the microphone and loudspeaker as well. Come to think of it, a phone- or at least the business end- is basically a microphone and a speaker stuck together...
