Far in the north lay a broken skeleton, spread out on the side the mountain where it had fallen centuries ago. The body of a dragon who fell in a battle, long forgotten. But he still remembers. A pale blue light creeps back into the bones as the long dead dragon moves with new life. The shattered pieces reform as he rises from the snow, tearing free of the ice covered mountain that imprisoned him. He begins to climb, his body rebuilding itself and growing stronger with each step. What was a thin pale glow now shone with a bright icy radiance that infused his body with power. Reaching the summit he spread his wings wide and roared a challenge to the world. All who wronged him. All who betrayed him. Everyone who led to his downfall would know he had returned. And they would all pay.
