Old character that I'm pulling out of hibernation for  iceyarticuno. I believe that Ahdium is from late 2005; so he's about 3 1/2 years old. And older than when I first created him. And to clear things up; his physical age is 24. Obviously he's quite a bit older. ^^;

His clothing and collar are actually black; but it would have been very blocky if I had used the same shade of black for each part. This is just the quick sketch with flat colors.

He really is an angel; all angels and demons and such have animal ears and tails in his world. Though in Ahdium's case he only has the tail.

Back Story:

Born to be the angel of Hope; Ahdium grew up in a very loving family. However his budding life was cut short; when he was taken away by a sect of demons and forced into the life of a (sex) slave; a large, heavy magical slave collar attached to his neck. His first master fell very deeply in love with him and sent him away lest this infatuation lead to trouble. Ahdium was sent to a leader of the demons; and there his once pure, gentle light became corrupted. (Thus he changed from 'the angel of Hope to a "Demented Angel"' ) He rebelled against his new master; which lead to the scars that now adorn his face.

After putting up with the tasks of his station for many years; growing older and stronger he finally lost it; breaking free in a bout of feral ferocity. He broke through his bonds, and practically killed his once master, before fleeing out into the world. He was unfortunately not strong enough to break the collar around his neck; a near impossible feat. His clothes are actually from his captivity as well; but he became comfortable enough with them that he doesn't much mind them.

Ahdium has low self esteem; is somewhat naive, yet at the same time very cynical about those who would wish to control him. He dislikes being bound for obvious reasons; but he honestly craves affection and acceptance.
