The squirrel in panel one is Doc Brunswick, Falconbrook's leading physician and herbologist, shown here treating an unnamed mouse patient.

Panel two contains Fitch the pine marten, who has evolved a bit since his first appearance in the NIMH fanstory I did a while back. He is not a nice character.

Panel three introduces Miniver Ermine and re-introduces Dumpy the mole (he was first seen in the final panel of The Familiar Contest). Miniver likes to wear a flower on her head, usually a rose or a daisy. Today, she's wearing a lily for Shadow.
