She's very nice to me...
Disclaimer: I'm pathologically obsessed with Eerie from Telemonster.
I also realize Dada's not exactly suitable to be a third protagonist or anything like that, no. I think he'd be perfect for one or two episodes, though.
This is my first and only fursona. A highly idealized avatar of myself. He has all the traits I want, but will never have. Like physical ability, a reserved, quiet, but very intimidating demeanor- stoicism, in other words, and ceaseless bravery.
Most importantly, though, is that he gets to hang out with Eerie and I don't. ;_;
And my relationship with Eerie is one that is absolutely dominated with paternal instincts. I want to protect Eerie, I want to do dad stuff with him, I want to help him grow into a better man. And my fagsona will allow me to do that, albeit in my imagination.
Here's his theme song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72HI8wrk6nQ
I think it perfectly captures his intensity and Bancho sensibilities.
>Character Description
Dada is Eerie's father, who was absent most of his life, but he has returned to undo Eerie's failures and make him into a man! A father figure is just what Eerie needs to get his life back on track! He's become submissive towards a cunt… he's spent too much time watching television since his relationship with Popo was formed; his muscles have deteriorated, while his overconfidence remains. It's time to get back to fitness! It's time to teach him the proper behavior of an alpha! They spend almost all waking hours rigorously training together.
While normally cold and brooding, Eerie is the one thing that reveals Dada's softer side.
Dada is capable of saying 4 words.
They are:
"Eerie" - his most used word!
"Sake" - meaning he'd like Yossi to pour him some sake!
"Food" - he shouts this when he'd like Yossi to get to cooking!
"Waste" - his nickname for Yossi!
He likes sake, senseless violence (hunting for sport, felling trees he doesn't really need, punching things), sports (boxing, baseball, golf)(he thinks UFC is pretty gay, though), things he can use to hit people with, meat, family is everything, Eerie is his greatest passion.
Also of note, while Eerie's compulsively drawn to food, Dada is similarly strangely compelled to attempt to smoke anything he can, like improvised cigars. He's been spotted smoking entire tree branches...
>Background/History
One day, Eerie and Yossi were lazing around watching television, when Dada walked through the front door uninvited and commandeered a bed. Eerie and Yossi followed him there, Eerie not yet recognizing him as his father, and stared at the strange man, perplexed and cautious. After a while, Dada opened one eye and stared right back at them, unfazed. He then raised his claws to his nostrils, and began picking his nose. He pulled from it a large booger, inspected it a moment bored, then flicked it, straight into Yossi's eyeball.
Eerie's hysterical laugh echoed through the house, and Dada cracked a grin, very pleased with himself. Eerie and Dada's strong relationship began again here.
As to what the cause of the father/son separation, where Eerie's mother is, and what Dada did before reintroducing himself to Eerie are all unknown, and he's not exactly in a position to explain himself with such a limited vocabulary.
>Accessories
When he first arrived, he had a very worn and poorly crafted stone ax.
Popo later summoned him a more modern wood cutting ax.
Now for an explanation on some design choices that no one will care about!
-The name "Dada" was chosen to follow along with the recurring theme of childish repetitive names seen throughout the show. see: "Madame Coco", "Popo", and "Jawjaw". I would've preferred "Papa" as it sounds manlier, but it is too similar to "Popo", with the P annunciation being the same.
It's an endearing nickname, it's a babytalk word for father I can imagine Eerie using, it's a nice contrast to his scary looks. I like the name a lot.
Everyone calls him Dada, not just Eerie, though he is of no relation to anyone else but Eerie.
-The lion-nekomata species was decided upon because A. Lions are my favorite animal, and B. To again follow the recurring theme of mythological monsters, what with Eerie and Yossi being a werewolf and a kitsune, respectively. I don't think lions can turn into nekomata technically, but Eerie and Yossi don't exactly follow proper mythos lore, either.
-The color scheme was decided on by, yet again, the recurring theme of color coded genders. Males = blue, females = pink often in the Telemonsters universe. Turns out that literally no shade of blue and grey works well except Eerie's. While I was going to make him lighter colors to indicate old age, I instead used the eyedropper tool to color Dada. He is the exact same color as Eerie. The colors are actually what made me decide for him to be Eerie's biological father. I originally wanted Dada to be an adoptive father.
The scars aren't the usual pink because I've come to the conclusion that the white-blue on Eerie and Yossi's faces aren't make-up, or fine fur, or paint, or any shit like that, it's bare skin. That's their skin color. So, I've made Dada's scars a slightly darker tone than the bare skinned face.
