Next up in my set of dragon girls is Ixaria Ohrakhire though Ix isn't exactly a dragon persay.
Ixaria hails from a different plane than my other dragons to and comes from a world where things are a lot less medieval and far more modern. She belongs to a species of dragon like beings called Sertillians who serve as one of the seven creator races of my story world. They make worlds and species as class projects in school like they were video games but rather than being digital, what the Sertillians create and program become reality on dimensional planes lower than their own. So, basically all the various worlds and dimensions of my story world can be traced back to the upper planes where beings like Ixaria were tasked with creating a planet in the lower planes for a science project. Not a very glamours truth for the inhabitants of those worlds to ever learn, but what they don't know wont turn their lives and various faiths completely upside down and backwards. So...ha?
The Sertillians are not however gods in their own realm. They're just normal people with normal day to day lives who grow up, pursue a career, hopefully realize a few dreams along the way, and then they die and leave their world in the hands of the next generation. Their powers of creation stem from ages of study passed down from one generation to the next in universities. Magic is their science and they've managed to turn the mystical and illogical into an easily understood and harnessed form of math from which they unlocked the secrets of creation within the lower planes but have yet to do so in their own dimension.
Anyway Ixaria is one of her own worlds leading minds on dimensional physics and energy manipulation and studied at a renowned mageological institute. She went on to develop an inexhaustible energy source alongside her husband in the years following her graduation and the two of them were made quite wealthy from the venture. There's a college named after her husband in honor of the accomplishment and he taught there for several years afterwards. However, the later years of Ixaria's life were wrought with hardship and peril when her husband set out to bring about changes in their society that the governing council adamantly opposed, ultimately costing him his body, his life, his soul, their fortune, and her future when she was marked as an enemy of the state by her association with him but if I told that story it'd take hours to type this, so, no. The moral of that story though is something along the lines of don't screw with your own creator god's plan for your species unless you want everything to go horribly, irrevocably wrong for everyone involved, which, is exactly what happened to Ix and San. The story still has a happy ending though, just takes a long time to fix everything that went so terribly wrong.
Backstory stuff aside, here we have Ixaria pausing to offer a warm gaze to her husband whom she's caught staring at her again while she did her morning workout, amused that he finds her so captivating and just as pleased that he does. Seriously how could you -not- stare?
