All three are supposed to represent diffrent beliefs of death, the young pup is a generic sign of death, the angelic evolution is loosly themed off of either an Angel or a Valkyrie, a comforting figure to guide you to the other side and this form is based off of either the greek "Thanatos" or "Grim Reaper" with the cloak of dark fog and the scythe-like claws.
