Hello everyone! I finished another reference sheet for an OC of mine named Jack! Jack actually originally an adoptable I've had for at least a year, but I haven't done anything with him until now. I wanted to finish this by Halloween but I didn't get the chance...Oh well...Have him now!
To elaborate on Jack's abilities Jack can heighten the anxiety of anyone he chooses as well as cause insomnia, paranoia, and heart attacks. Having him just be around you, even if he appears normal, causes the heart's resting rate to increase slightly. In his nightmare form he reflects a specter, and can phase through walls and appear out of thin air. Seeing him at night is generally a deeply serious omen and no one dare approach or follow him. Those who have have never been seen again. Jack's real identity is hidden, he is often called Guffawing Ghost or Laughing Lantern and he lives amongst the living as normal, which is contrary to the belief that he comes from the underworld. Nobody knows the true intentions of him or why he appears, some believe he brings the bad luck and causes the misfortune...others believe he can see the future and shows himself as a warning to try and help those on the surface.
Jack is very reserved and soft spoken, he normally keeps his distance from others because he knows the affects he has on them if he is around too long. He typically likes being secluded but he longs for interaction just as most sociable creatures would, even though most don't enjoy his presence.
In his nightmare form he never utters a word, but he hollers and bellows out a laugh similar to a Hyena's to catch attention of his presence or to liven up a quiet night. Those said to hear his laugh fall ill within the next few days. Some speculate that it is not his doing but the result of the sound shaking souls to the core to the point where they do not sleep.
