There are so many possible meanings..friendship, lust, love, happiness. All the things that each person might dream and hunger for. The verbal imagery is both graphic and yet subtle at the same time.. like a river, glistening at the surface, but hiding so much more within.
I like this poem alot. If you dont mind, I'm going to print it out and put it on my wall in my room.
