*cue hype music to Bandits Breakdown logo. Then transitions to the two hosts*
Hiddson: Hello and welcome once again to Bandits Breakdown! Your one stop for all things Las Vegas Bandits. Brett Hiddson along with Terrence Thursday. We hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween and encourage your voice to be heard in the upcoming election. But for now, we've got more football to cover and the Bandits would have another tough challenge on the road to finish the season series against the Texas Ramblers.
Thursday: Last time they outlasted the Ramblers with a 24-20 win after coming back from 10 down in the 4th Quarter. Fans are hoping a more wire to wire finish this time.
*cue the highlights*
Hiddson: Well for the Ramblers this was a familiar way to start. Sacked by Justin Brown. But that wouldn't stop the Ramblers this time. Third and 4 for the home team and Astrah, finds Knight on the curl and sheds a tackle... and gets a big gain before Marcus recovers for the touchdown saving tackle. 36 yard gain for Jackie Knight. And She would finish with 4 catches for 109 yards, setting up Ricky Wit-Ricky's 5 yard touchdown. Ramblers on the board. They would add two more field goals to be up 13-0 by mid 2nd Quarter. Once again the Ramblers were doing a good job stifling the Bandits offense putting pressure on Quarterback Sylvester Stapler and keeping Paige contained.
Thursday: It also doesn't help that the Bandits fumbled twice in the first half, which led to said field goals. They're lucky they're not down by more. Bandits would get a field goal of their own to end the first half. But once again down by 10. They needed to regroup.
Hiddson: And whatever Coach Erinia said certainly got the defense going.
KLVB Radio: Second and 7... Astrah drops back to pass looking for Knight and Intercepted by Marcus Hopper! He Jumped the route and has room, Astrah trying to catch him but blocked away Rowe! Touchdown Bandits!
Hiddson: a 37 yard pick six for the 2nd year hare! And it couldn't come at a better time! Bandits now only down 10-13. Defense still going strong to get a three and out forcing the Ramblers to punt. Bandits next possession, Stapler doing a good job of using the hard count making the defense stay on the field by getting them called for encroachment. Not easy to do since they're on the road but more then helpful to get them down field. Bandits would get another field goal from Cooper to tie the game at 13 all.
Thursday: Nice work but still only getting field goals aside from touchdowns, but with the defense getting 3 and outs like in the next possession, Cooper's kicks might me more than enough of a premium for the desert desperadoes.
Hiddson: The Bandits would force yet another 3 and out on the Ramblers and you can see the frustration. The defense of both teams giving their clubs a chance to stay in the game. Bandits march down field again only to get 3 more points and take the lead.
Thursday: Nice to have the Bandits have a lead in the fourth but can they keep up this tremendous effort? After another time consuming drive by the Bandits, the Ramblers finally keep their offense on the field but take some clock themselves.
Hiddson: Big 3rd and 8 here with 4:39 left. Astrah looking for Knight? Incomplete pass. Big decision here for the Ramblers.. they would go for it. 4th and 8. Astrah looking for Kenney but Kelly Rowe wants off. Deflecting the pass for the turnover on downs. Leading to the final field goal by Cooper. 5 field goals for the rookie kicker. And the Bandits win it. 22-13. Bandits with a successful 2 game road trip winning both and having the defense look like the stalwarts of the league, Terry.
Thursday: Yeah Brett, the defense took a moment to get used to things but are figuring out their identity once more. I wouldn't want to be on offense taking that team on if they keep this up.
Hiddson: You got that right, Terry. We'll take a short break but when we come back interviews from Hopper and an out look on the next game against the Downriver Waves.
