The Toy ground griffin
While not often seen as part of the Furgit (Beast Faery class). The Toy, or “false” ground Griffin is exactly that.
A small cat sized fae, these creatures are exceptional mousers. Their stout often chubby appearance is mainly due to a fluffy covering of featherdown and fur, which is used to regulate body temperature in all weathers.
Robust and mildly magical, these faeries are able to heal small wounds on both themselves or others. And as such have become wonderful household pets for families with children who are prone to bumps and scrapes.
The Toy ground griffin comes in a variety of colourations, much like their cousin the Butterfly dog. These can range from the basic brown, to extremely tropical and colourful varieties.
- Each doll has been lovingly hand crafted and contains a wire skeleton for gentle moderate posing.
- All fur has been hand dyed and clipped.
- The heads and ears are resin, and the eyes are glass with hand drawn designs.
- These dolls are the size of a small household cat, and due to their hand crafted nature are artworks for display, and not toys.
- They will be available at Brisbane supanova this weekend! If not sold, they will be available online later this month on my Etsy.
