Truly absurd feelings here as well. Never thought that I would have to worry about Russian invasion that would be both sponsored, endorsed, and given full support to by the US or at the very least by the POTUS.
But now this happened and. Well. Incredibly unsafe feeling all of a sudden here in the Eastern Europe, haha. I mean, the lingering fear of the Bear waking up has always been there due to events that transpired during my grandfathers youth. But now the fears are a lot more on the surface all of a sudden.

It's like that situation in the Civilization games or any strategy game of massive scale, if you have ever played such things and experienced such scenarios. As in that you have an ally / an entity that is trading with you all nice and promises to kind of, sort of, be there for you if your neighbour gets rowdy. But suddenly you get stabbed in the back as if it were and find yourself between two immensely stronger - and hostile - entities on both sides.

During this morning I was optimistic that Trumps potential victory would not have that big of an effect, except for the lives of my friends and the millions of people who live in the US and who will face Trumps actions and the potential wrath of his batshit bonkers Vice President. But now I find myself fearing the Eagle and the Bear over here as well while also worrying about the lives of my friends over in the States. Huh.

It's just insanity. I'm so sorry. Please understand that so many of us over here never wanted this - just like the Bush years I'm going to recede back into apologizing for being American, I'm going to feel ashamed for what the banner of our nation represents.

I'm afraid of what's coming for those of us stateside and I'm afraid for the world. Whether it's war or the rapid scaling of environment ruining mining of tar sands and fossil fuels, the lack of any environmental conservation initiatives, or outright dissolution of the EPA.

Above all else is the lack of concern for human rights. I just hope everyone can stay safe and stay sane. I'm going to do my best to show people that Americans can be good people, even if a startlingly large amount of us are not.

Appreciated. And naturally. Like I said, I have many American friends who did not want this at all and who voted otherwise. So not all of your are as insane as the majority of your nation was today, heh.

As long as your country and nation does not follow in the footsteps of Nazi Germany, we all might survive through this. If not, well. Perhaps the future generations might be a bit smarter. If there will be future generations in the case of a fullscale war though. China has a lot of nuclear weapons and if Trump decides to wage war with Russia against the rest of the world, there will be no survivors left to rebuild.

So yes. Hopefully there will be a little bit of sanity left in the world. Would quite like to see it devoured by the Great Old Ones instead of human stupidity itself, because at least then all of us would be raving mad. Unlike now. War is after all way too real and your brain can comprehend the events, sights, smells, sounds and feelings associated with it to a certain degree.

But just like in Nazi Germany, there were those who did not agree with what their leaders did and who tried their best to show that not all Germans were lunatics. Same goes here, sans the war, atrocities and stamping on human rights and lives. For now.

Suppose time alone will tell what will end up happening.

The comparisons and the reality of the situation are all too real to me. All I can do is hope right along side you that my evil nation doesn't cause as much damage as it's capable of.

Its the same for us here in Sweden.
We're extremely worried about what Putin might be planning now with his puppet Trump now being in a position of great power.
Needless to say, I'm very disappointed at those that fell for Trump's lies.

Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will be the first to go for sure if Putin decides to "ask" Trump to not interfere. Ugh. Here's hoping that will not come to pass, but fearing that it will.
