Good question! I admit that I have neglected a lot of my old characters, it's difficult to give them all love >-<
As for inspiration, half of it is knowing what colours work together or what looks 'natural' by looking at real moths. Patterns and such are mostly just random shapes and stuff thrown together when I picture it in my head ^_^

About how tall are you in moth form; in art, you normally look to be a 'normal' height, but in a few pieces you appear much sorter (to very kinky effect~)
Do your baby-daddies have any part in your kids' live, or do you raise them yourself~?

Normal height for the moth form is 5'2
I would think they have minor roles, Prot likely raises most on his/her own, with the help of husbando Glow :P when it comes to canon, Prot's only child has 2 fathers, one of them is almost never around as he is a traveller!
I used to wear rounded glasses back in the day, I'm sure we'd look good in either of our glasses :D

I created a shapeshifting alien 'sona because I didn' t really like the idea of being stuck with a single entity, and creating new ones to take up the personality of ends up with a cast of very similar characters. So while Proteus is often in different forms, he/she is distinguished by the purple/green scheme and almost always has a single personality
