The Soldier has a special place in my heart, not because he manages to contradict himself or make bribing sound like a threat; it's because of his voice actor, Rick May.
If you've played Starfox 64 as often as I have, you may have noticed a Rick May in the credits for voices. It's one of the first four, which leads me to believe he is one of the main characters. Granted, the N64's low audio quality may be throwing me off, but I've deduced that Rick is Peppy Hare.
On a side note, I LOVE this taunt, and I'm ashamed of how awful my shovel looks.

Apparently not Peppy, although it's understandable (I honestly thought the same thing). While it's an editable Wiki, it's the Starfox Wiki, so I trust it a bit more than the more general wikis.
