Commission for one of the sweetest people i know, and his mate who is also a sweetie :)
This is by far my favorite commission i've yet to receive. The guy essentially told me to draw him a cute red fox and coyote in a field of clovers, but wanted me to be creative when it came to to background. I found the neatest papers for this piece, and am very happy with it!
Fox and yote sketched in pencil, inked with micron ink, coloured in Prisma markers, highlighted with white gouache, some additional overall shading and also toning of the white paint via coloured pencil. Obviously some of the clover patches were hand-drawn and coloured as well (micron and marker again, aside from the dark clovers nearest the bottom edge...they're hand-cut and drawn too). The rest is all various types of scrapbook paper. The sun is a terrific iridescent gold and yellow paper that was super thin and also a terrific pain to cut out x.x
Fox and Yote belong to themselves, though they are pretty generic >.>;

This IS beautifully creative :) I like how you've cut out the pieces for the background, it gives it a very -pop-up-book type feel, which is refreshing to see.
Your figures int he foreground are really set apart from the background so it gives this wonderful illusion of depth.
