Had an amazing day today. Debuted my newest fursuit, Sally Shepherd, at the Veteran's Day parade today in downtown Dallas. Sally is a Service Dog, and (as of today) the unofficial mascot for ARC Service to the Armed Forces here in DFW. I still need to get a vest for her that says 'Service Dog' on it as well as finish her feet paws.
The photo is of all of our Military Veterans employed by and/or volunteering for the Red Cross today in the parade, though they wanted to have Sally in the pic as well. I may have been the only one in the photo that is/was not actually in the military, though my dad (top left in the pic in Vietnam Veteran's hat) was, and I grew up right out side of Eglin Air Force base.
This was a wonderful day, being able to show support to our military, current and retired, and the police officers, many of whom are Veterans themselves.
