as anyone who may know me well knows. i loves water plants. even have a traveling pond which someday i may even remember to take pictures of! anyway one of the suck things about this love of mine is that most marginals and floating plants do hellishly bad during the winter. they hate cold. they love more light that can possibly be healthy. so i usually lose them all during the winter no matter how hard i try. I sorta still have some Water Hyacinth but it looks like crap for some reason. however my Parrot feather not only survived but thrived in a ten gallon tossed in a basement window. indeed it even bloomed. something i have never observed before this picture was taken. as it is it grew up onto the sill of the window and has become a little forest. and the few sprigs i put in other tanks to hedge my bets also took off. so i am very happy on that. (still hoping that spring will actually get here so i can see if my water hyacinth will recover.) but all the little white things are VERY MINUTE flowers on the stems.
