this is my FAVOURITE AGATE SHOT! of the whole bunch. i have a million ideas for titles of the shot.

and others. but none seem right.
there is nothing i do not love about this picture. the brightness of the sun in the blue bands of agate. the way it reflects in the crystal masses in the center the seemingly subdued blue of the sky behind which was bright bright blue as well. the little inclusions and borders it all makes me happy. i should have bought this one. really i should have. i did buy another which i have not photographed yet. which since these came out so nice i am going to do more of these. but enough gloating. just enjoy the blue.

*the greek references to ice come from the fact that crystal comes from the greek word krystos which means ice. also the blue in this agate slice comes from a dye process not natural.
