Kilroy of the New York 45th.
kilroy93 wanted a commission featuring his horse persona in a military themed piece. Of the US Civil war New York 45th regiment at Gettysburg. Not too often I get a request for US Civil war, and this was fun to do. Yes, I specialise in Military themed pieces.
Still could use a few more commissions.

World War 1 needs more attention. I'm glad more people know of it now thanks to Battlefield 1 but there needs to be more on it. Its become the forgotten war, almost more so then the Korean War.
I spent Veterans day reflecting on its original name, Armistice day, by watching one of my favorite war Documentaries; The First World War, by BBC channel 4. The music and personal accounts from that always brings tears to my eyes.

Hey yas all. I live about a half dozen miles from Antietam, and about 20 miles from Gettysburg. If you are in these parts for a visit, I am a reasonably knowledgable historian of the area, and would surely be a good guide to G'burg/Antietam, and Harpers Ferry sites. I'd love to do it, just to meet some new friends! Oh! Dangit, Rabbi, I almost forgot to say I do like the Corporal's drawing...
I researched the NorthWest's part in the Civil War, The two states had been freshly minted at time, and news did not travel fast in those days. the general populace of the NW leaned toward the Union side of the conflict, and sent no soldiers, but two medical teams. They were also mightily distrustful of Eastern Money, Company Towns were not uncommon and that is how "Astoria" came to be.
A funny aside is that there was a Black Man named George W Bush who helped found Thurston County, Washington, raising farms and helping others to do the same. That's the one I want to vote for.
How would you make a Battlefield Medic/Doctor look like a brave fur?
