Y'know, I'm sure its easier to make a robotic character than I tend to make it.
But the stack of paperwork, she keeps piling up! The designs! THE DESIGNS!!
Though at this point, I like what I've got. The design is now a hodgepodge of earlier designs, which in honesty is how its s'posed to go.
A few years back, I wanted to design a robot character and so, Jackal was born. But then, I realized I wanted to BUILD a robot character. And so, Jackal became an ongoing pursuit of perfection. Which is why there are no complete images just yet.
At a certain point, I decided it was a cop-out to just design the outward aesthetics of a character with a ton of legitimate inner workings, some of which are partially visible. Well, now I've almost got a full working skeleton, albeit in low detail.
So, here you have it, the first shots of previously unseen sides of the Jackal. The dimensions are rough to get a grasp on, but hey, thats what the design process is for! The two year and counting... maddening... terrible, terrible design process.
