Hard to believe a little under two years, eleven months, and twelve days ago I submitted a retooling of an RP I did with
Jevin because I liked the idea so much. I'd had big plans for another series at the time, but both the response to Communication and my own personal enjoyment from writing this series managed to take over in my heart and I haven't looked back since.
I know most folks have lost interest in it, but for those of you who did stick around, I thank you and can only say that I hope this series has managed to provide some happiness to you.
Should also thank a couple folks while I'm here! Firstly, Gadabout, who does not have an FA but is single-handedly responsible for editing almost every single chapter in this series as well as making the very first part not totally suck. He's a good man, perhaps one of the best I know (but he'll vehemently deny that.)
Thanks as well to
mannoth ,
skinavish and
Jevin for providing moral support and endless micro musing that helped me to think through more and more of my ideas.
This is the end now, though I have a few ideas of where I'd like to go next with this setting. Till next time folks, keep gazing upwards!

Lovely way to end it. I liked the mentions of how he had overlooked aspects that would work for an engineer but not as a mass-consumer model, as well as all the other legal and even angry public hurdles he had to go through as well as sacrifices that had to be made (Not being for consumers at first, her strip losing readership, etc), felt like a realistic take on the idea rather than just everything going smoothly. The only part that felt a little unrealistic was you'd think him bringing up that one of the reasons he wants to create it is because of his relationship would sour the deal, since it would come off as something more personal than caring about the product itself. Well, that, and the whole idea of selling miles-high (to them) mechs on the consumer market at an affordable price...
Also I think you did a great job with the random bits of humor sprinkled throughout, especially with the talk-show host.
(Oh, and I found the reference to one of your previous stories with Daisy hilarious)

Thanks a whole lot Tendo, both for your continued readership and your thoughtful examinations at the end of each of the chapters. It really did help to push me to strive for a higher quality in explaining some of the aspects of the world.
I totally agree with you that the idea of it being mass marketed to consumers is pretty unrealistic. Especially for the long term as I imagine most governments wouldn't keep that many on hand, but it's entirely possible, if still unlikely, that they can find a way to produce them at a cost that some few wealthy consumers could afford one, if only as a status thing, ideally with the price continuing to drop as time goes on. So yeah, not impossible, but not an investment a company would normally make.
That being said though I'm glad you liked the humorous spots, and yeah! Wanted to give Mannoth's little pairing a touch of closure at the end of this too |3
Thanks again!

I adored this. 10/10 read. It was so heartwarming to see their relationship blossom, stand the test of time, and how affectionate yet gentle this living breathing landscape of a mega macro girl is with a tiny little guy she could accidentally sneeze away into oblivion.
Dylan posited the question in an earlier chapter - shame it didn't make it into this story as an adult-rated follow-up - how are they meant to have children? Emily wants to try for a baby. Then again, of course, Mark's an engineer - he solves problems ;)
Though it would require spelunking, a submarine, and tiny him trying to fertilise a Minevan egg in the womb - an egg the size of a skyscraper - without getting engulfed by accident (yikes careful little dude don't make your lover a single mother). It would be utterly amazing to have Minevan DNA dominant over Cantolian, so Mark has to witness and raise the most gigantic baby lion cub born.
