This is a lovely piece: calm moment, nicely observed as if she's just put the book away briefly to think and reflect. Looks stormy outside: inner mental state / outer reflection thing going on here?
Would fav, but a point of principle stops me. It's such a shame about the low-resness and the detail-obscuring tag over the top of what could have been a really nice work. I must confess I don't understand your logic behind doing this for gift art. Ah well.

Her reasoning can be found in this journal.
In a nutshell:
So here's where the 'free stuff' comes in. I love the challenge posed by drawing others characters and I want to do them in a non-digital medium. If you would like to see what I can do with your character (for free!) let me know! I'll be taking pictures of these and posting them in my scraps, so it's not like you won't see them, just not a very good version x) If you like really like what turns out and decide you want to buy it, that can be arranged + s/h
Therefore "detail-obscuring tag."

cookiedog has difficulty understanding why Uncle Chuck is always going on about earthworms, but kinda likes the imagery in the final paragraph.
