From a bad guy to a good guy, Rex has had a strange and sad past. Being abandoned at childhood and abducted and raised by evil machines, Rex was originally a villain who would take any old machine and salvage it into something deadly. He was the first person that Xavier ever sacrificed himself to defeat, igniting a rivalry between the two Meowstics. He tried hard to defeat anyone who was in his way, but failed constantly. His final gambit involved stealing Xavier's sister Yvonne's Mechnobeast and destroying Agarthos. After failing, he surrendered and went to being a good guy, changing his look entirely and living a normal life as a Mechanic in Centropolis.
