Ace Trainer Ninetails Would Like To Battle!
Hooo boy, I had been sitting on this for a while! At least it's done now, and on Pokemon Male Offspring/Ass Flash's release date too!
This is something I've wanted to do since I finalized the concept of Chubby Ninetails. Ret-Con my "Pokemon Trainer Ninetails" persona into being Chubby Ninetails instead of Ninetails Prime, since PKMN trainer Ninetails was supposed to reflect my experiences directly. And I wanted to draw some of my regulars to go along with it.
A Brief History Of Ace Trainer(former Champion) Ninetails
Born in Kanto, The Youngster Trainer Ninetails set out on his Pokemon journey at the age of ten. Although he won the eight core badges to enter the Indigo League, he sadly didn't make it very far before being knocked out.
Undaunted, he continued his travels and set his sights on Johto. Again, he gathered all eight badges to enter the Silver Conference and put on a good performance, but ultimately wasn't able to go all the way. After this, he decided to spend his time exploring the world, learning more about pokemon and how to connect with them in order to bring out their true potential and become closer as friends.
After spending a few years in obscurity, he found himself invited to Kalos to participate in the Lumiose Conference. With new wisdom under his belt and his beloved poke-friends by his side, he stormed through Kalos like a wildfire, gathering all the badges, helping to take down the Team Flare syndicate that had been terrorizing the region and even putting the deep relationships he had developed with his pokemon to the test by learning the secrets of Mega Evolution. With a casual and positive mindset brought about by his years of learning, Ninetails was able to handily win the Lumiose Conference and then go on to beat Kalos' champion, Diantha. At the age of seventeen, he was officially recognized as a Pokemon Champion.
Although he initially humored the idea of being a Pokemon Champion, he and his friends soon became bored and stir crazy and he relinquished his title back to Diantha so that he can continue his journey unbound.
His pokemon, of course, are based off of my usual pokemon. I actually sketched out more than these four, but I decided to go with them for this project because they're my absolute core team.
X-Naut: A male Chesnaught and one of Ninetails' closest friends. He substitutes a giant shield for the shell that usual Chesnaughts wear. Ninetails would trust X-Naut with his life and X-Naut the same. He tends to act as the team dad, coaching Ninetails younger and newer Pokemon and keeping peace among his more seasoned Pokemon.
Valefore: A female Pidgeot. The eldest of Ninetails' companions. She was caught as a Pidgey during Ninetails initial journey and stuck by his side ever since. She's always been something of a straightwoman to the rest of the team, keeping them focused on the goals at hand.
Machoke: Ninetails boyfriend and self-appointed bodygaurd. Machoke was originally forced into evolution by a Pokemaniac who wanted nothing but power from him. When he evolved under-powered and swiftly beaten, the trainer left him to die on Mt. Moon. Ninetails happened to stumble across him on the verge of death and, without a second thought, rushed him to the Pokemon center to be treated. After he recovered, he forced himself into Ninetails' hands out of gratitude and with the fox's help, he was able to grow truly powerful. He loves Ninetails dearly and will never forget what the fox did for him. If you ever come across Ninetails, you can be sure that his Machoke is right by his side.
Charizard: Ninetails' first pokemon. From the start of his journey, the two were inseparable. As a Charmander, he wanted to prove himself to Ninetails and to the world. As he grew and evolved, he developed a disgustingly large ego and saw himself as unequal. Being beaten in not one but two confrences was an absolute shock to his system and, with Ninetails support, he rebuilt himself as a stronger, more humble Charizard. He sees Ninetails as a true companion and proved as much by being the first of Ninetails' pokemon to unlock the power of Mega Evolution, becoming Mega Charizard Y to protect Ninetails against the dark forces of Lysandre and the Pokemon of Destruction: Yveltal.
....that's about all I got. This was fun to do. Like I said, I drew more of my pokemon than are shown here, so I may drop the sketches from this as well.
