I was kind of disappointed with the portrait of Fifi I uploaded recently. Felt like it lacked depth. I dunno. So I decided to practice with this ... generic canid-thing.

Like the coloring! Seems like it turned out pretty good, except the left ear seems a bit off, maybe a lil glowy.

What program do you use to color?

Painter X ... The glow'y ear is intentional. Like, the skin of the ear is slightly translucent. I probably screwed up the effect though, heh. I didn't look up any reference, I just knew I'd seen it before.

That was my second guess, but usually I don't see that many go that far into detail. It looks exactly like that, so no worries on that part. Ye did good :3

I agree with Envy though - the neck less harder edge, makes it appear triangular here.

I see my recommendation to use that head-shot as an avi has grown on you. The other one needed a break after so many years. XD
