This piece was started in ink washes to lay in the value structure, then taken to Photoshop to do the rest. Can you see the mice on the stump table next to the scrolls? Mice are great scholars for reals!

What tools/filters do you use in photoshop/

actually, I use PS 7 (too lazy to upgrade) and I don't use filters, just different brushes with a varying opacity. I will generally play with the curves too, just because it always adds a little something more!

Oh wow,
you should really not be lazy
and upgrade.
You can do soo much more now with
the newer versions of ps.
