So I'm not gonna lie... Way super self conscious to be posting these pictures but a recent friend inspired me to share them.
So here I am--- as my mermaid self ^.^
This picture was taken at my mother's work. They had a luau/summer decorating contest going on and I decide to entertain as a mermaid. It was actually a lot of fun and my mom's group winded up winning ^.^

You're very welcome superise thares only a few mermaids in the furry fandom besides myself sadly but it's great to meet another merfur in the same fandom what's happened to this mermaid tail? I'm also planning on getting my first fabric merman tail but it's hard to find a good quality one
This green tail is just a few years old lol. Has small holes in the bottom of the fluke. I mean I plan on fixing it and still using the tail but its out of commission right now. The newest one looks awesome. It has a snake skin effect. I would suggest The2tails or FinFun as far as fabric tails. They have some good ones. Both of mine are 2Tails brand.
Awe cool i herd of finfun and I love thare tails plus I currently own a finfun monofin sadly I'm very new to mermaiding ( swimming in a mermaid tail ) and I never use a monofin before so I'm very nervous and new to swimming with it. As for finfun fabric tails the bad thing about thare fabric tails are they last a few months or one year and the colors fade very quickly and its fragile on ruff serfaces I love 2 tails but I herd they don't do custom sizes and such
Well, definitely make sure to practice with the monofin first. I spent a good two years just practicing with the monofin before even buying a tail. You could always message the company directly and ask about custom sizes. Another company I know of is swimtails, but I don't own any of their tails. I've heard its similar to finfun and can work with a finfun monofin. I hope you find a good fabric tail and are able to start swimming in it :)
That's what I herd is to buy a monofin first that's one of the reasons why I bought a finfun monofin since they are easy to work with but again still nervous for my first swim with it about drowning and such but if i can't swim with it I might use it for cosplay I herd of swimtails as well and they are one of my top picks ether swimtails or the mertailor fabric tail or of course finfun depends if I find a good quality tail that will last for a while and thanks for wishing me luck I'm gonna need it since looking for a fabric tail is very hard if you found anything good on fabric tails please let me know
Well the good thing about swimming with JUST the monofin is that you still have use of your knees. With the tail on it completely restricts the use of your legs and most of the swim work comes from the core. I wish you luck on whichever you choose :) There is a forum website that has a review section and you can look into reviews on the different tail makers you are interested in.
Well if it's the MerNetwork form I found it and have an act with it but looking on the reviews is a bit hard but however what you recommend on tail reviews anything helps on the run I didn't know wearing a mermaid tail won't let you use your legs and use a core instead that's sounds a bit hard and tricky so monofin swimming I could try for now at least. If you want to chat we can continue in notes or if you have Skype or telegram those work too
Yes that's the forum I'm talking about. And the reviews may be a bit harsh no matter what. Everyone has a different experience on who they buy from. Like the reviews for the 2tails aren't all that good but I have two tails from that company and haven't had any issues with it. And yeah you can note me if you want lol. Yes definitely use a monofin first. Practice with it A LOT

Thanks on the compliment- the tail is actually fully swimmable, its fabric and is made of the same material as swimsuits. We actually just had a mermaid meet at a hotel pool last night where we took head shot pictures as well as underwater pictures and a video! I hope to get the footage and upload pics of me in my new tail :)
