*cue hype music to Bandits Breakdown*
Hiddson: Hello and welcome once again to Bandits Breakdown. Your one stop for all things Las Vegas Bandits. With Thanksgiving around the corner, let us be the first to say Happy Thanksgiving to all and may it be a safe one as well. Brett Hiddson, along with Terrence Thursday. Terry, Bandits looking to bounce back from another tough loss to the Downriver Waves taking on a Fargo Axemen team that can't seem to catch a break themselves.
Thursday: Yeah, Brett. The Axemen will certainly not want anyone to pity them as they look to play spoiler to the Bandits' plans.
*cue the highlights going starting with showing Christina and Coby Carson reuniting.*
Hiddson: Always good to see family back together, with the Carson twins, likely planning some Thanksgiving festivities afterward. Sure to be an interesting dinner with those two. For now the Bandits start with the ball... Stapler, looking for RVA but tipped and Intercepted by Linebacker Ethan Frost! Not the way the Bandits or Stapler wanted to start the game.
Thursday: Right there, Brett. Big Reggie Barnes the Rhino D-Lineman just gets his paw up there. Setting up the Snep for the tip drill cath. Luckily RVA was there to bring him down immediately.
Hiddson: The Axemen would only get a field goal from the turnover. Next possession, Bandits get some better plays, but the drive stalls at the Fargo 5 yard line as Cooper knots it up for Bandits 3-3. Second Quarter action now... 3rd and 5 on the 25. Stapler play fakes to Paige finding RVA with a huge pass and is Tryggr going to catch him? He barely does. 64 yard catch for Roy Viridi-Aqua. What a play by the canine to set up the eventual run in for Paige, Terry.
Thursday: Once again, Stapler's ability to sell a play fake comes up huge, freezing the corner long enough to get RVA some room to run after the catch. Tryggr Lang the only one to force him out. And save the touchdown for the time being.
Hiddson: Third Quarter action and the Axemen might have gotten a rousing speech from the coaches. Carson still respecting her brother on the other side and this pass gets the better of Hopper, As Cortes gets a 50 yard pass completion to the red zone. Carson next play... Finally gets Napier the touchdown pass with the 11 yard grab. Tie game once more. Nice way to start the 2nd half for the Axemen.
Thursday: Bandits with a drive to respond to the score. Good variation of runs and passes to get downfield and a huge pass interference call on the Axemen to extend the drive further. Terry Paige with the carry and bullies his way through to get the touchdown. 17-10 Bandits.
Hiddson: Axemen looking to respond in kind but...
KLVB Radio: Carson looking to pass, finding Cortes on the fla-- It's Picked off by Marcus Hopper! And he's got room to run 20... 10... Touchdown Bandits! And the Axemen Crowd is absolutely silent as Hopper gets the pick 6!
Hiddson: Thanks again from our friends at KLVB radio. Marcus Hopper with a huge Pick 6! 24-10 Bandits. Fourth Quarter. Bandits looking to finish off the Axemen early. Stapler giving RVA and nice 29 yard pass earlier, now getting in to the running game himself. Making sure to slide to keep the defenders away. 1st and goal and Stapler with a QB keeper. Happy Birthday Stapler! Touchdown Bandits. Your Final score. 31-13 Bandits over the Axemen. They will improve to 6-5 on the season with New York and North Florida around the bend. Bandits can still catch up and make some ground before the postseason seeds crystallize, Terry.
Thursday: Right, Terry. Good job by the defense to bounce back from the first score from the Axemen not giving them a real chance to get anything other than a field goal since then. They'll need that kind of effort and then some to knock off the Titans and Renegades coming up.
Hiddson: They certainly will and we will take a short break but when we return, an outlook of the next game against the New York Titans.
