This pretty girl is Rose, a snow leopard/cougar crossbreed (a Snow-Cougar if you will) that I adopted from
Jazzlioness. Her father a snow leopard and her mother a mountain lion.
She is instantly recognisable due to her distinctive coat with large amounts of white fur and her rose dorsal stripes in addition to her long, thick and fluffy snow leopard tail and the rosettes close to her front legs.
Rose is a fiercely independent girl, preferring to work things out for herself rather than ask for help. Though this has presented her with some VERY steep learning curves with her life - and at times has left her at odds with her fellow cubs and even her parents - she has nonetheless learnt a great deal and is a very skilled huntress and fighter having worked out and honed many of her own unique and highly-effective strategies and techniques for both of these areas. An example of this independence was her development of an effective fishing strategy, allowing her to find food even when land-based prey is scarce.
In part due to her highly independent nature, Rose has few friends. The friends she does have however, are extremely close to her heart and ones she cares for deeply. Though her independence can make for strained relationships between those she meets and those she counts as acquaintances, it can also come as a huge boon in times of need when her help is required as she is able to devise plans and strategies that may not occur to many others.
Despite her tough outer personality and love of independence, she does have a softer side that only her friends and loved ones see, enjoying the companionship of those closest to her.
