So it finally happened. My boyfriend chained me to the computer and forced me to draw something. After a bunch of random squiggles and some Kirbies I was rather proud of, I finally managed to draw a raccoon! And not just any raccoon; the best raccoon! This is the first time I've drawn my own sona, and I actually think it turned out rather nice, after a bit of touching up from

That's honestly pretty damn good. Even acknowledging the fact that your boyfriend did the inking, the underlying foundation that he was working off is pretty sound. You've got a working knowledge of anatomy that some people (INCLUDING ME GODDAMMIT FUCK) take years to grasp. If this is you just starting out, colour me very impressed.
Hey, backup only works so long as they have a solid foundation to do their thing off of. You gave just that. And don't you worry about those "stupid hands." I have dysgraphia AND tourette's, which is like a one two combo to the balls. It just takes a little time, patience, and tons of domestic abuse between you and CTRL+Z! If a loser like me can get a grasp on it, you sure as hell can!
