As much as I agree that it's most likly a racoon, porcupines are faily good climbers, most of the time when I've seen em in zoos they've been up trees..

I once saw one in a cork tree but its feet weren't toughing the tree!

Yeah have a heart traps are great. I caught a moma raccoon when I was trying to catch one of her young'ns that bit me. I let her go when I discovered her and haven't used the trap since. I remember when I aw her she perked her ears up and looked at me so I walked up and was like, "Hey! HEY there!" and she put her ears back and let out this DEEP GROWL so I was like, "WOAH!" and opened the thing. She dashed off and went 'THUMP" as she ducked under the shed out back.

I could never catch anything with mine.
