Personally I am not surprised they asked that. Remember the myth said they sent maidens to the original minotaur when he was locked away in his maze (If I remember correctly) and considering the fact his mother was a human it stand to reason that he can breed with humans. But as they already pointed out he is a big to big for most girls.
