OMG, a NON-PORN comic. I'm trying to focus on more, but early on they're only 1-4 page stuff.
Get Real, a cartoon character makes a confession.
Inked and lettered through Illustrator, colored through Photoshop.
The Inspiration: A story for my robotic armadillo character that is semi-autobiographical.
The Production: Again not much to say. The old image of ARM-R there is an actual one a drew two years before. It was also done in vector.
The Good: The Mantra. It really is one I follow. XD
The Bad: ARM-R's "stockade" design in this comic. It was because of this comic that I later gave him free floating hands and legs.
Favorite Shot: all of page 2.
Obscure Joke: Not so much a joke, but the footprints on page 4 is a nod to my grandmother who's favorite poem was "Footprints." She's recently passed away due to Alzheimers. This comic also marked the first of a repeating theme: the shooting star. The hands used on page 3 are all old characters. The only one I will reveal is that the one being covered by the text box in the upper left is Mary Ann from "Return to Chivalry."
Something to remember for the future: ARM-R's "before"
Published in Furrlough #158 by Radio Comix
5 pages including a title page
Finished 2006
