I just finished netting a kitten in a convenience store parking lot, a cat I have been trying for two weeks to get off the street. This place is truck city. To say the least, the kitty put up a fight, and I ended up with a woman yelling at me about torturing animals. I did not see anyone else in the town trying to save the cat. I got the cat to the carrier, and went over and calmly explained what I was doing, and why. I think she called the cops. But- this darling little girl cat will have a chance at a decent life. Some people prefer to be stupid. Now I can have a Thanksgiving without thinking of a terrified, starving kitten eventually being crushed or killed by a dog. This sort of thing has followed me my entire life!
