This is a running theme with my gallery now, it's either endowed females or skilled combatants. (Are warriors a fetish?) Anyway, thought process:
Yinglets. Heartbeat rate and breathing rate of hummingbirds, good for bursts of energy and reaction times, bad for long term combat. Have to strike decisively instead of wearing enemies down through attrition. Flight side of fight or flight but disregarding that because that is shameful to the halls of Valhall-- I mean my gallery. Very fast, despite lack of agility, so similar to cheetahs.
Conclusion: Lance cavalry-like weapons and tactics. A war horse would weigh roughly 550 kilograms we'll say. Moving at 40km/h (~11m/s) that's impacting a force of 33,275~ Joules. That's about 23,000~ ft/lb's of force.
A yinglet is not nearly as heavy, but the principle remains the same only with more emphasis on acceleration making up for mass, the couched lance will put the yinglet's incredible running speed to work (as well as let them reach up to taller targets). I actually modelled his armour off of horse armour, as well as given a shoulderpad/cavalry heater shield on the offhand arm. Their tactics would be to try to hit enfilades as best as possible. Very risk/reward combat. Losses from tactical or strategic errors will be magnified.

Eyyyy, this is great! These little things look great in your style.
You put a lot of good thought into this, and it all looks tactically solid. Given their size, they're almost certain to be attacked from above, so there's little point in armoring the undersides; and while they tend towards using their little fish-catcher arms for spear-thrusting, the addition of a sprint would really add to the impact.
And unlike mounted cavalry, they can turn around and/or hop backwards quickly after striking. Still, you're right that it's a higher-risk tactic, but that's pretty much how their entire species operates! High risk/reward, because they can stand to take losses much better than other species due to their reproductive rate and fast rate of maturity.
Fun stuff to think about, and you captured the concept very nicely! I'm getting a lot of nice surprises this Thanksgiving.

Coupled with their small size, they could employ stealthy ambush tactics. Very dangerous if they get behind you and spot the gaps in your armor. Especially if their numbers are vast. Worse still if they decide to coat their blades with what they regard as 'soap'. NASTY stuff.
Of course, I theorize they could also benefit from using weapons other than spears in their arsenal. Things like yinglet-themed/designed throwing stars, blowguns, slings, atlatls, and bolas would be awesome. :3
