ahh but those can't be the old transformers toys, I mean the good ones, the ones that not only transformed completly but had lots of small parts for children to chock on and get stabbed with, and these little parts often transformed into their own little minibots though with these toys you used your imagination to be kinda like "Well that kinda looks like a robot.... SO IT IS SO COOL!!!! that used to be a shitty fire truck!"
I get your sarcasm, but for the record, a lot of the G1 toys often sacrificed the robot mode for the vehicle mode. Look at Wheeljack or any of the constructicons to see my point. None of the constructicons had individually moveable legs.
So for nostalgia, fine, but I defy any geewunner to tell me those toys were show accurate.

I agree. I've seen more Deluxes that have more complexity to them then some leaders. Universe Galvatron and Sunstreaker are are damn near puzzle boxes, and if one was to want /real/ puzzle boxes you only need look to old the Alternator subline, which were amazingly complex yet not really fun. Even Animated, with how simple it looks can have some simply gorgous transformations, like Prowl, Blurr, or Lockdown; who despite being a Deluxe transforms in such away that he's the same height as most the other Decepticons.
