The mother and child reunion. - Jannie & Colby Kritz - Pligh
This speed paint from
SephrenDemon really helps illustrate the world of the Foxens found in one section from Plight of the Rose. He has performed admirably in both skill and speed and I most certainly look forward to doing further commissioned pieces with him in the future.
Portrayed here is mother Jannie Kritz, shining with all the love her heart can give to her young, but highly talented daughter, Colby Kritz, as the kit feeds a local member of the wildlife. The Arras (a kind of bunny rabbit that could happily remove an unwanted (or more likely wanted) limb or two with that massive overbite.) shows no fear or concern about being paw fed from the child, thanks to a special ability that allows Colby to communicate telepathically with most beasts and even read the thoughts (to a degree) of her fellow Foxens.
Also note that Colby is seen standing. Another unusual trait not normally found in kits this young. Thanks to her ability to perceive thoughts, she has a distinct advantage of gaining skills like speech, standing, walking and such with incredible speed. After all, a lucky kit may shakily obtain walking skills within the first six months and possibly master it before being officially recognized as a young adult, instead of a wilderling. A trait that she shares with most Wardens. (The name of a Foxen with mind telepathy.)
