It was about time I drew some more pones, and what better subject than Sunset Shimmer, one of my favourite characters?

I had a lot of fun drawing her, but as usual, I think my digital colouring has let down the overall picture.
Messing around to get the background to work was... interesting.
I should really practice drawing ponies. They're not hard to draw, but I could use more practice to nail down my style for them. I also think that a more cel-shaded style for them (i.e. blocky shading) would suit the character designs and style more.
All the same, I'm mostly-pleased with the results, and it's nice to have a finished piece of actual fanart - I've never really completed a picture of a canon character. I should really do some more.
