Alternative Title - I Can't Believe Turquoisephoenix Drew Enter the Dragonfly Fanart
Trying to get off an art block by doing Spyro fanart! I don't know why I default to this series when I'm on an art block but it always seems to do the trick.
Just on a whim, I decided to do an experiment. I would draw two Riptos, one using just Ripto's Rage screenshots as reference, and the other one using just Enter the Dragonfly screenshots as reference. There's some added things here and there from me (Ripto does not have visible teeth in either model and it'd be interested to see if someone interpreted him as just...not having teeth), but otherwise they're like 80% screenshot reference.
The result is that I never realized just how badly they messed up Ripto's proportions in Enter the Dragonfly until I did this. Geez, why did they stretch out his nostrils like he could basically snort up a dragon into his nostrils as a form of defense.
