Didn't found out the make of this engine, i know its big and probably developed for aircraft usage before being modified .. there was an engine on display with the engine from the Challenger series and it was HUGE .. basically 2 engines in one .. but didn't get a pic as it was too dark and under a cover partially

>:) a fellow petrol head methinks? ... i have to admit i did wonder about making a kit car and putting that engine up front .. but it probably wouldn't be practical and would understeer/oversteer everywhere.. but still that much power can corrupt .. and i'm already corrupt enough ;)
Hard to say which that is, but I think both Rolls Royce and Cadillac made tank engines at one time. If that is a Rolls, I don't think it's a Merlin, though.
The Allison and/or Liberty aircraft engines might have been used for tanks too, though I'm not sure. That does look an awful lot like an Allison with the long bore on the pistons.
