:) they had a display showing the barrels of tanks as time progressed and technology improved .. one of the early 120mm barrels had metal of about 6-7 inches thickness at the base .. but a few years on and that was almost halved by improved metulargy (spelling?) :P

It's amazing how tank technollegy has improved trough history (esspecially through WW2)

*nods* but it is a bittersweet idea though, the reason the technology was improved was in order for one side to defeat the other .. but .. Mans perogative is to improve and we are as a species really getting into a stride .. just makes me wish we had concentrated on things more better suited to sustained energy but thats a different story, anyway really glad you liked the pics :)

the tank museum is at the heart of "Bovington Camp" located in the south of the UK nearby the village "Wool"

Ok, I knew there was a big one in Holland. Someone who collected old WW2 vehicles.
The Marshall museum, you should try it if your near and you like war tanks and vehicles.

Great tank but way too over engineered. Which made field repairs hard work and the tiger had problems whit there suspension as well, they tended to collapse!
