The life of a griffin lord is often a lonely one, obligations pull Dusk away from friends and relationships while such vulnerabilities must be hidden. If not a particularly ambitious or cruel enemy might decide to use them against him. Despite these risks, rumors persist of the griffin possessing a dearest companion.

Seen by guests in his private quarters and almost universally present at his side during formal balls, interested parties say that his exotic vixen companion is always dressed in simple, but the most finely made of clothes. They say that she is protected by Dusk's detachment of guards even more zealously then Dusk himself. Some even go as far as to say that the two sneak out, away from guards and watchful eyes, to go deep into the mountains where they watch the stars, talk in sweet whispers, and make passionate love till the sun replaces the moon in the sky. Then they slip back home, both desperately waiting for another chance to be together.
