Engine 315 rounds the corner by the Plasticville Airport. A Stearman bi-plane and a Cessna 172 Skyhawk are parked in front of the hangar. Off in the distance are the lights of the No-Tell Motel and the Plasticville Diner.
This 4-6-2 steam locomotive was manufactured in 1952, but is a new addition to my set. I was very pleased to get it from a former collector. I was even more pleased when it fired up immediately for me, happily puffing smoke as it circled my layout.
My toy train set, an S-gauge American Flyer, has been in my family since 1951. The Plasticville houses also date back to the 1950s. My dad used to set it up for Christmas every year and I'm trying to keep that tradition alive.
