The vibe. Is it pure paranoia or a timely warning? This time, it proves the latter as Lang Shu and the Infinitiums face the Red Talons’ Secret Weapon. Long ago, there existed the Spidarian Principality, hidden within a dark forest outside of Rome. This land is where martyred creatures, bearing the silk spinning ability of a spider, sought sanctuary offered by the Spidaria Monarch. Three generations have passed and the population of these spider hybrids have struggled to defy extinction. Though their hunters, the Ano Organization, have failed to locate this safe haven, they did succeed in orphaning the third Prince of the Spidaria bloodline, Silvian Spidaria. Months ago, they succeeded in capturing him, as well as Zenion and Lang Shu, imprisoning the three in Ano’s home base christened Baronick. Through divine intervention, Shu was freed and liberated Zenion and Silvian, escaping to the prince’s safe house. Shu departed that very night and now sees how sour a note he had left Silvian on, as he faces him in the Red Talons’ arena.

Sorry for the wait! Finally got around to reading it and loved it! (As always)
Again, I really like how you capture each Zen, especially after your speech, the reactions to each one were spot on.
I'm not one for philosophy but I understood the debate for this one and I really did like it.
While it is true that as a kitsune (guardian) and a phoenix (protector) I wouldn't side with killers or be so quick to take a life I still would, solely because if an enemy attacks another innocent victim that would be an option to take. Because I can be a familiar to someone, it's not so uncommon to kill for the sake of protection, not for personal reasons and such... but I think I'm babbling XP
Love this story Shu! As always, thank you for including these three in them

Always thrilled to hear it. And don't be misled. Shu calls it a power to let live, because like any power, we may have it, but not choose to use it. As a phox, you've had many more years, Shu still has yet to come across a situation where killing truly is the option. Even the legacy of the Langren says he must take the life of the vengeful Xun, but the kill was taken out from under him. On the plus side, it transfered him from the human world to the anthro one.
