White is a horrible, horrible colour XD
This is an Amaterasu head from the game Okami but the customer prefers to paint the red markings herself (as well as making the rest of the costume). I'll have to steal photos then as (did I mention?) pure white is a horrible colour to photograph XD
I went heavy on the black because the style of the game is very high on the contrast. And I personally like thick black eyes <.< I also added a bit more than I normally would to soften the expression from 'rawr' to 'doggy'.
The mouth moves and such but I'll get photos of that later this month when I deliver the head and she is worn for the first time by her owner. Easier than trying to photograph myself without a proper photo studio set up.
edit: here's the rest of the suit :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_JA0jY31T4

and isn't it nice to get characters with black markings around taxidermy style eyes, i mean it is just so nice and perfect for hiding mesh :3

The nose is latex over foam. I actually sell them here: http://www.beetlecatoriginals.com/s.....pliessale.html
^__^ That's the same idea I went for when messing around on
azurecoyote's suits. Only you put much more detail in yours.
I would have even guessed professional taxidermy noses. *Thumbs up* Veruh noice.

There's really no 'right' way to make a fursuit, but, yes, most professional makers do the full bodysuit thing as then you do not have a seam around the middle. Though the pants/shirt thing can be useful while learning as you can make sure each section is correct before moving on.
