This is the new apartment. It is a two story town-home. It's a corner unit with no direct left/right neighbors. You can basically see the entire place here from the outside. The window you can see between the branches is my room mate's room. Mine is the up stairs with the two large windows. Below my room is the living room windows, and outside we have that L-shaped outdoor patio area. The other window to the left of the door is the dining room window.
I'm also happy with the area itself around the apartment. It has lots of trees and vegetation. We are right near the pool and there is a duck pond and a creek on one border. The place met both of our criteria: his major one was price and mine was the natural surroundings.
Planning on having the housewarming party the 2nd weekend of May, Saturday 5/9/09.

Gated communities are nice and all... but, they give the illusion of safety when they may not necessarily do so. I lived an an un-gated place for quite some time and never had anything happen, where a local friend has been broken into in their gated community. This place is awesome. I plan on taking other pictures around the grounds.
Actually you probably could afford a place like this. The rent wasn't that bad at all. My roomie's major concern was price. Mine was wanting atmosphere around the apartment (i.e. trees, nature, etc.). The reason why is that at my old apartment I'm losing living within a 5min. walk to a very pretty lake. This place has a pond and I'm right near the pool and front office actually.
