FINALLY posting this. I finished it about three months ago xD
I realized that I had done zero fanart of anything Studio Ghibli, and decided that was a crime too egregious to pass. I had a fairly clear idea in my head of how I wanted this to look, and while it didn't come out quite that way, I really love the end results. These are colors I never use, much less all together, and clearly this is something that must change.
12x16", oils on Art Bord
Not sure I'll use the Artbord again. It's just too slick, and getting the first few layers to stick is a nightmare.
Also! Prints of this piece will be available at The Adventurer's Guild Cafe in Kitchener, Ontario as part of their Ghibli at the Guild show.
