At the port, there were a mass of irkens holding the place down tight. An entire squad or two, just in one building.
"I know what to do." Artison said with a smile, and put his hands behind his back "Take us away, irken officer."
D looked at him then Deimos, and then held his arms behind him.
Deimos then grabbed their arms then walked to the space port.
"Hold it there!" one of the irkens shouted and aimed a rifle at them "Drop all your weapons!"
"Sir, These two Resisty scum were aiding the Deimos in his escape." Deimos said "I'm taking them up to The Gigantic for interrogation."
The trooper glared at him though. "Why the ship? of all places, why there."
For a moment, Deimos didn't fully have an answer.
D could tell Artison was going to make a statement, so he kicked his left leg.
"What's going on here?" An Irken officer apporoached, and then he saw the fox and wolf "Send them through, soldier." he said then said "I got a message about these two being sent here for the ship."
The soldier glared at them, but soon lowered his rifle. "Move along."
The three obeyed and walked past them. As they descended deeper into the garrison; Deimos could see all the Irkens there, all of them just to hunt them down. Or hunt just him... His ears drooped, but to everyone there it was just his antenna that lowered.
Deimos walked the two into an empty hall. "Up ahead is a one of the teleportation areas." Then he let them go. "Let's hurry out of here."
Up above a sound of thunder echoed past them
"Right." Artison said and ran up the hallway. "Make haste and beat the storm!"
"If storms even occur here." D said and ran after him.
Deimos, however was shocked by the noise "Guys, wait!"
Through the roof, bursted a beam of pure energy and destruction.
Artison stopped when he saw, but when is struck the floor, he only had enough time to push D back before the hall in front of him was exploding. The forced of the blast shook them all, and threw them back as it kept driving into the building.
"D!" Artison said and he scurried to him, but, to goof fortune, his only scar was from the laser that struck his shoulder previously. "We have to find another port."
"We need to get out first!" Deimos said as he looked outside; An entire volley of massive lasers were striking down the city. "It's orbital strike!" Deimos ran down the hall trying to get clear, and Artison and D were right behind him.
More lasers tore through the structure both in front and in back; forcing them to dodge and weave in new directions just to stay alive.
Once they were clear of the building, they kept running from the destruction, past the corpses of Irkens and locals alike, and once they could stop, they were left seeing the city around them under siege from a threat they can not reach.
