Seriously though, if I may spill some thoughts on Sun and Moon, playing this game blind is about one of the best Pokemon experiences I've had. Sadly Gamefreak maybe couldn't keep their mouth shut with all the reveal trailers, but the small handful of Pokemon I got to see for the first time ingame were all great. Seeing Dewpider was super exciting because I like me some Spidermons, and obviously I loved Araquanid so much I wound up putting it on my team. Dhelmise was also a pleasant surprise, I dig that one a lot.
Like two type combos that I think have a ton of good Pokemon potential, Water/Bug and Grass/Ghost and they both got TWO really good mons in Araquanid/Golisopod and Decidueye/Dhelmise respectively. That's a hilariously specific thing to be excited about but good stuff.
It's a little disappointing to see that the only unrevealed Alolan form was the Geodude line. I would've figured there would be a lot more than just them but no. (Which is funny I guess. I saw a Paras for the first time ingame and its mushrooms liked SLIGHTLY offcolored for a slit second so I thought there was Alolan Paras for a second. Sadly not, though... which it would've been cool to have a Bug/Fairy Alolan Parasect feh)
All that said though probably the best part of going in completely blind, avoiding almost all the plot spoilers was getting to see the story. All the characters were A+, even Gladion who I did not expect to like as much as I do. And as y'all saw, I adored Lillie. Arguably the most well-developed Pokemon character to date. The story was simply fantastic. For whatever it's worth, Gen 5's my favorite generation at least as far as stories go, but dang. Sun and Moon may or may not have topped it. Like honestly I could go on about it for hours but I aughta not, at least not here ahaha.
