It should be "Die Verwandelngänger". "Die" is the article for all plural nouns. Even though it looks like the same word as the feminine article, it's different because it has a different meaning and declines differently. Der Verwandelngänger would only be correct if you wanted a singular noun - but there are four characters so I think you wanted it to be plural.
The word "Gänger" no longer means anything on its own, but it comes from the word "gehen" which means "to walk" or "to go", so the word Doppelgänger translates as "double goer" or "one who walks as a double", therefore your word "Verwandelngänger" would translate as "mutation goer(s)" or "one(s) who walk as mutation(s)"
Here's how I write umlauts (the little dots sometimes over a, o, and u)
ä = alt + 132
ö = alt + 148
ü = alt + 129
